Helping people discover their unique purpose by repairing their thought process with truth and fellowship towards ultimately building leaders

Have you ever wondered why we have so very many denominations?

It’s not like we have two, or three, different words of God, right?

Of course not! We can all agree that if we open up the King James Version of The Holy Bible to John chapter 3 and read verse 16 it will say "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Even better, we can usually all agree on WHY the word is written that way! Every pastor can tell you WHY God gave his only begotten Son! It’s right there! For God so loved the world!

But now is where things really start to get hairy. What’s the reason for that reason?

What’s the meaning behind that meaning? What does it mean that God so loved the world? Why would Jesus need to die for us? To save us from sin, so that we can be forgiven. The Deeper Why Ministry is focused on those questions. The meaning behind the meaning. The why behind the why. Using the deeper why our mission is to accomplish what Jesus said was a need in Matthew 9:35-38. Jesus healed all kinds of physical ailments while he was here on earth, and he did it immediately.

Remember the Centurion? The hour that Jesus said it his servant was healed. But Jesus wasn’t only focused on healing the sick and the blind. He also taught his disciples how to help with mental, and emotional, and spiritual ailments as well. How to fix a thought process. In Matthew 9:37 he called people who fix thought processes laborers. The Deeper Why is a ministry full of laborers, and we are excited to do the work that God has given us for you!

The Deeper Why’s mission is to fulfill the role Jesus spoke of in Matthew 9:35-38.

"35 And Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness. 36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were distressed and scattered, as sheep not having a shepherd. 37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest indeed is plenteous, but the laborers are few. 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send forth laborers into his harvest." (Matthew 9:35-38)

Verse 35 showed Jesus healed ALL diseases and ALL sicknesses among this group of people. Jesus did every possible miraculous healing He could have done for these people. They had no physical defects. This is a key point to remember as we look at the next verse… Despite the lack of physical defects verse 36 stated the people were still "distressed" and "scattered".

What did these words mean?

"distressed" was Strong’s #1590 eklyo – "to loose, set free". The etymology of this word spoke to the people not being connected to each other.

"scattered" was Strong’s #4496 rhipto – "to cast down, throw". The etymology of this word spoke to the people being harassed in thought (being thrown in different directions mentally and emotionally). (For more explanation of these words, please follow this link: Laborers/Workmen)

The people were physically healed, however, they weren’t connected to each other (they were individuals) and they had a bad thought process. The example was "sheep without a shepherd": sheep feeling isolated and lost. Verses 37 and 38 showed Jesus stated that "laborers" were needed which implied God and Jesus are unable to miraculously heal a person’s thought process or cause people to be in unity. This would violate the free will of the individual.

Notice, these people believed in Jesus, yet Jesus stated they still needed help fixing their thought processes and coming into unity. What needed to be done next was something that took time (fixing thought processes and building unity don’t happen overnight), hence the need for "laborers". These "laborers" were not evangelists. We have plenty of evangelists today, yet unity is not building. Jesus told the disciples to pray that God sends forth "laborers". Jesus HIMSELF was not only FOR these "laborers", He told his followers to pray FOR MORE of these people. If a person were AGAINST people who fix thought processes and help believers have a growing and sustained unity, he would be opposing God and His harvest.

"laborer" was Strong’s #2040 ergates The definition and etymology spoke to toiling with works of words as a teacher. This was the same word that was translated as "workman" in 2 Timothy 2:15.

"15 Give diligence to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth. 16 But shun profane babblings: for they will proceed further in ungodliness," (2 Timothy 2:15-16)

The Deeper Why’s mission is to fulfill the role Jesus spoke of in Matthew 9:35-38. Help believers fix their thought process so they can build a sustained unity with other believers. The way both of these are done is by understanding the WHY behind the WHY of God’s Word. Everyone agrees with what the Word of God says. This is the WHAT. However people still disagree about the Word of God because they disagree about the meaning and application of God’s Word.

The WHY behind the Word of God is the meaning.

The WHY behind the meaning is the application.

This WHY (application) behind the WHY (meaning) is The Deeper Why.

When The Deeper Why is understood, the apparent contradictions in God’s Word are resolved and can be applied to our present day situations. Ultimately, this requires us to understand Words and Definitions, specifically, we need to have God’s definition for the words God used. In 2 Timothy 2:16, we see the following definitions:

"profane" (Strong's #952) bebēlos - counterfeit the threshold (entry) in order to misdirect the dwellers

"babblings" (Strong's #2757) kenophōnia - fruitless discussion, empty sounds [from artificial illumination and tones], fake fire [visual fire with no warmth], to think words that have a different meaning but same sound as true thought and words

Using words with a different definition than God’s definition misdirects the thought processes of others and leads to division, not unity. From the beginning of the Bible to the end, thought processes and unity were consistently mentioned together.

The Deeper Why has a proven track record of increasing unity among believers by using the Word of God to repair thought processes. This information can be focused for specific circumstances.
